Who We Are

I love the hunt for the ever-elusive perfect cup of coffee. I am committed to roasting coffee that no only I enjoy, but that will help others experience that same metaphysical delight of the pursuit.

I began roasting coffee for personal consumption 14 years ago. Good, fresh coffee wasn't easy to find, especially since we lived in the boondocks. I'm a bit of a nerd and approach roasting with a mixture of analytical precision, from my training as a chemist, and wizardry. An ongoing discussion in roasting circles is whether roasting is art or science. I believe it is a craft, a balance of art and science – systematic approach and experience-based preferences. The two combined can yield some incredible coffees!

In 2017 I purchased a commercial roaster and began roasting for friends and family as I honed my skills on the new roaster. In 2018 I obtained my first commercial customer and sold to an ever expanding circle of friends. I roast in Lexington, South Carolina and provide free home delivery to area locals. We also ship to any address in the continental United States for just $3.95.

Our Coffees

We roast green coffee from some of the best coffee producing regions in the world. We use multiple importers, searching for coffees with flavor profiles that match our customers' tastes, and suppliers who align with our ethos. Our coffees are artisan roasted - by hand in small batches - to produce the best possible cup.

We are committed to ethically sourcing green coffee and to giving back.

Ethically sourced means our coffees are traceable (we know their farmers and processors), sustainable (produced with practices that promote the long-term viability of the farms and processors), and fair-trade principled (paying prices for the coffees that, among other things, assure the longevity of the coffee supply).

Each of our importers have long-term relationships with local farmers, cooperatives, and processors around the world. They invest back into the farms, coops, and communities in which they work, both financially and socially. Often place resident experts are placed on the ground long-term to help the farmers successfully address agricultural and environmental issues, promoting sustainability. 

A portion from each bag we sell supports the rescue, education, and empowerment of children-at-risk around the world. We partner with several Indian nationals who have been rescuing children out of brothels, remote villages, and off the streets of Pune and Delhi, India, two multi-million person cities. More on that coming soon! We our friends there and the incredible children and young adults they serve.

Our Promise

We promise our coffees will be fresh and delicious! If for any reason you are not completely satisfied, let me know within 60 days of your purchase date and we will replace your coffee or refund your purchase price.
